Hypnosis for emetophobia can release you from this debilitating fear

Emetophobia, or fear of vomiting often including the fear of others vomiting may sound to some people like a fairly insignificant condition. However, nothing could be further from the truth.
If you suffer from this fear then you will know how this can affect many areas of your life. You may be fearful of eating out in restaurants, at social occasions or in other people’s homes, for fear of contracting food poisoning or catching a ‘bug’ or virus, so you miss out on events. You may eat your main meal of the day very early, so that you feel it is ‘properly digested’ to avoid any sickness that may occur at night, which is often inconvenient.
You may struggle to be around other people, family members even, worrying that they may pass a virus onto you which could cause illness. You could possibly suffer with nutritional balance, as there are some foods/methods of cooking that you completely avoid.

Some sufferers find themselves taking on a very strict, almost compulsive cleaning routine, ensuring that all possible germs are eliminated, and this can lead to isolation, as sufferers may struggle to feel comfortable in environments where they cannot be certain ‘proper’ hygiene has been observed.

The worry and stress that this causes sufferers can be enormous. The good news is that hypnotherapy can help alleviate this fear and help you to recover from this phobia once and for all.
In many cases, this fear was associated with a negative experience in the past, and by using hypnosis to access your subconscious mind, you release this old experience and its associated patterns of fear, and learn new ways to manage, and most importantly gain clear perspective. This alongside understanding any associated feelings of anxiety and negativity and gaining new coping mechanisms, can release you from this phobia and get your life back on track!

it is important to be clear here that accessing negative experiences from the past using hypnosis does not necessarily mean that you will be recovering forgotten or so called ‘repressed’ memories. In 99% of cases, you already remember consciously a memory or even series of events that may have triggered the fear. The key is that in hypnosis, you access not only the memory, but most importantly you then process that memory. The natural state of hypnosis is often referred to as ‘the learning zone’. If you can learn to be unduly afraid of something, for what ever reason, you can with certainly, re-learn learn new and more positive ways to completely manage, understand and gain comfort around those old fears.

On average, depending on your individual needs, around four to six sessions will help you to release yourself from fear for good, and give you good grounding in managing fear and anxiety generally. I am passionate about treating the whole person in my sessions, giving you a set of skills to take forward with confidence into all areas of your life.
